How do I place an order at Icing on the Lake?

Please call or visit the bakery during hours of operation to place your order.  If we do not answer the phone, please leave a message, and we’ll call you back as soon as we can.

 

Do you require payment or a deposit at the time of order?

We require a credit card number when placing an order. For weddings or large orders, we do require a 25% deposit at time of the order.

 

How far in advance should I place my order?

Ideally, we’d love for you to give us a 2 week notice for large or customized orders. However, for smaller orders, a 3 day notice is typically sufficient. Of course, we always try to accommodate orders and/or requests, but please keep in mind that we do make everything from scratch and do not have frozen items in the freezer to pull out at a minute's notice!

 

What if I need to change my order or cancel my cake?

Changes to your order or cancellations will be honored at no charge up to one week prior to the scheduled pick up date. If less than a week, there will be an additional charge for changes to design, cake sizes, or cancellations up to 50% of the original cost.

 

Does Icing on the Lake offer quantity discounts?

Yes! We have discounts built into almost all of our items when purchasing half dozen or dozen items.

 

Do you require a minimum order on bakery items?

We require a minimum order of ½ dozen gluten free cupcakes as well as a cupcake base flavor other than Devil's Food or Vanilla, such as Carrot or Lemon.

 

What is your return policy?

We ask that all orders are approved at pick up. Due to the nature of our products, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds. However, we want all Icing on the Lake customers to be 100% satisfied with their experience at the bakery. If for some reason you are dissatisfied, please contact the bakery within 24 hours of your purchase, and we will do our best to address your concern.

 

Does Icing on the Lake make Gluten Free, Vegan, or Sugar Free baked goods or cakes?

Currently, we make Gluten Free cupcakes, cakes, and some cookies, by special order.  We also have a few Vegan recipes that are pretty amazing as well! We do not make anything Sugar Free but are experimenting with some recipes in hopes of using in the near future. Please note that we do not have a Gluten Free baking area, therefore, there is a chance for cross contamination.

 

Do you use nuts in your products?

Yes, we do use nuts and nut products in some of our baked goods. We recommend not consuming any of our products if you have any food allergies.

 

Should I refrigerate my cake or cupcakes?

We recommend that you do not refrigerate your cupcakes or cakes unless you have items with cream cheese frosting.  Most of our products are made from scratch and taste best at room temperature.

 

Can you put “pictures” on cakes?

Yes, we now can put pictures on cakes! We have an edible ink printer that prints images up to 11” by 17”.  Please email us your image in a .jpeg or .png format and allow at least a week to process the image.  Please remember that we cannot print images that we do not own the copyright.

 

I saw this cute Mickey Mouse cake online; can you make it for me?

Because of copyright and trademark laws, we are not allowed to use copyrighted material on our products.

 

Can you make me an adult-themed cake for my bachelor or bachelorette party?

Sorry, but we just don’t make those kind of cakes here!
